Seoul: COEX Library & Aquarium

Assalamualaikum 💗

We opt for this place after a few considerations on where was the best place for us to use the Discover Seoul Pass. Was it worth it? Keep on reading to know our experience oki😉

We used subway from Myeongdong to COEX Mall

Myeondong to Dongjak Station 4-Light blue. --> Take the subway from Dongjak Station to Bongeunsa Station 9-Beige 

 Turun je from the subway, you will see directions to go to the Mall. So, just follow it. Terus nampak entrance to Mall. For your info, the location of the library and aquarium are both inside the mall. Jadi, much easier 😊

Since we reached there quite early, we choose to spend our time in the open space library first. The location of the library is at the main atrium of the mall. We took a few pictures around and spend about 15 minutes here. Ramai orang.. Tapi okay lah, interesting library macamni. People can sit and read leisurely. Definitely insta worthy!

Put this inside your itinerary if you happen to be around the Gangnam area oki? 

At first, we were a bit puzzled with the directions to the Aquarium sebab we couldn’t find it. Mall dia besar gila ya. We followed the signboard but still, we failed. Haha. Lepas asked around we finally saw the Aquarium signboard yay.

Yay happy dah sampai!

Untuk masuk Aquarium, you cuma kena tunjuk your DSP card. After they scan your card, you are good to go! Yep, it was that easy.  Seriously senang! Their system smooth gila, so jangan risau.. they will gladly help you if you have anything in your mind 😊

There was some part in the aquarium where you can touch the animal using your bare hand. Interesting kan? Masa kami pi tak ramai orang, maybe because of its weekday. So we basically can try every activity provided.

Alla in all it was fun! I rasa lama jugak we spent our time inside. Icha siap menari la dengar lagu baby shark hehe. 

This is the entrance door to the mall. Sebenarnya banyak entrance untuk masuk mall ni. This entrance connected to the aquarium. kitorang keluar ikut sini lepas pi aquarium.

Worth itttt to spend your time here with your kids! Try it oki!

p/s: Our main intention masuk aquarium ni nak bagi icha enjoy & happy. Icha was so excited with everything. I guess, misi kitorang berjaya la kan?

Review: Swiss Garden Genting deluxe king room & Garden Terrace café

Last weekend, we went to Genting for the closing of my birthday month! Hahaha. I know know. It’s a bit too much ay this year. I start my birthday month with a staycation and ended it with a staycation as well. Start it with a bad staycation, but ended it with an awesome one! Bukan I je, both my husband and icha enjoyed our stay this time around 😊

It was a smooth check-in experience, their customer service was so efficient, smooth eating experience at their café for dins, and we super love their jacuzzi and sauna.

Meh I share our room first oki.

We got a deluxe king room and it comes with free breakfast. Everything was super neat, the room faces the awesome view, there was no weird bathroom smell, all basic amenities was provided. Iron was not included but fret not. Just call their CS and the iron will be sent straight away to your door.

At first, we were in torn to choose cable car/ dip our toes into their pool. After a few considerations, we choose pool dulu, sebab we taknak rushed bila naik cable car to the top. We wanted to enjoy the view. 😊

They provided a schedule for pool due to this new norm. With this, much easier nak refer kan? 

Kami decide nak guna pool at 6pm without knowing that there will be loads of other people who wanted to enjoy the pool as well. Haha yakin sungguh sis few mins before 6 baru nak pi. Maka mendapatlah to wait for another one hour since 6pm session was fully booked. Oh ya, kena beratur to book oki?

By the way, pool ni sharing basis with the windmill management. Which mean, other than hotel quest, everyone from the homestay from windmill pun shared the same pool. But trust me, its worthhhhhhh it! One hour waiting period to dip our toes inside their pool definitely berbaloi for us. By the way, masa tunggu turn ni, cuaca sejukkkkkk gila. Dah rasa macam dekat korea. Dapat je masuk jacuzzi dia, fuhhhh lega betui. Selain dari tu, the view was amazing mashaAllah. Cantikkkk sangat! 

Later we had our dinner at their garden terrace café. Cara nak order makanan dekat café ni thru QR code. Once u scan the code, terus keluar the menu, and the waiter will come to take your order. 

We chose:

1. Chicken chop – RM 28

Hubs approved! He loves it. Bagi I, okay je lah sebab I tak suka makan makanan yang tak well done. Tapi icha pun suka jugak. Habis hubs and icha makan berdua.

2. Fish & chip – RM 34

This was among the first to reach our table. But definitely not to our liking. A bit tasteless, and the dipping sauce is just a normal dipping sauce. Nothing extra on this dish. Just okay.

3. Nasi goreng kampung with ayam berempah – RM 25

Hubs approved this menu as well. Habis sepinggan he ate my himself. Banyak kali repeat cakap sedap sedappp.

4. Mee + kueytiaw goreng – RM 25

(don't judge a book by its cover - gitu disclaimer haha) Request without seafood bcs hubs couldn’t eat it. It was sedap! What make it extra was when they give me cili potong bila I request. Extra point for this!! Haha.

All in all, it was worth it. Berbaloi makan dekat sini. Eventho the service was quite slow, they were very helpful!

During breakfast,  kitorng turun lambatttt. After 9 am baru turun haha. Everything dah habis. But surprisingly they add in more menus eventho breakfast time was almost over. Cuma kena tunggu a bit lah. Loved their hashbrown, nasi goreng pun sedap. Omelette was good cuma a bit masin. Sup sayur was delish. All other basic menus macam salad, buah, cereal pun ada. Their kaya and butter spread definitely da bomb! U need to try it out oki. Campur both, and makan. Fuhhh, so sedap. Luckily I sedar diri, if not maybe I akan bertambah makan roti with this filling :p

All in all, we enjoyed our staycation! Tapi sebenarnya yang paling penting icha happy. In whatever we do, we always prioritize icha’s happiness walaupun kitorng rajin membebel dekat icha jugak sebenarnya. 😛 

Sebelum tidur semalam, icha cakap “thankyou ayah ibu bawak icha jalan tidur hotel, naik cable car mandi swimming pool”

p/s: lepas solat semalam, hubs panggil icha untuk doa sekali. Icha duduk dekat tepi katil, and she started to say her prayer. “Ya Allah, icha nak tidur hotel lagi, nak mandi swimming pool, nak naik cable car. Terima kasih Ya Allah” Aduhai.. kids, memang innocent and pure kan?

Selamat hari lahir ke 29, dearself!

I am writing this here for memory sake. Supaya akan sentiasa menghargai sebaiknya dan menikmati secukupnya setiap detik yang Allah kurniakan. Let’s cherish all those moments, shall we?

Long before I start working, I got this dream where I wanted to have a day off during my birthday. But sadly, due to my work nature.. I need to hold it for another few years maybe? Pray for it to come true one day juseyo. Having a day off during my birthday is something that I look for. Doing whatever that I want. I bayangkan je pun I dah rasa happy. Bekerja during birthday definitely tak best. Atleast I think it that way lah hehe. I need to listened to others, I need to do work and I need to give my best for my job. No no.. Bukan I tak suka my work, cuma I love my birthday more 😜

Hubs said that I will definitely love my birthday this year. Knowing him, he tried his best to make it succeed. I asked him why? He asked me to wait. 

Me ≠ Wait cuz we no fren.

No fren means kacau him all the way la sampai birthday haha!

I saja tease him around about the celebration pun dia dah cuak ingat dah kantoi. Padahal I just randomly cakap whatever that came across my mind at that time, haha. He even warned me to stay put and jangan kemas rumah or selongkar apa apa for the past weeks hahahaha. I dah la kuat menyakat, I saja nak tengok his funny reaction. 😅

So fast forward, YESTERDAY WAS MY 29TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION 😊 

He booked the cake at my fav bakery shop. 

He booked the balloon that I love.

He showered me with loads of amazing gifts

He booked my fav restaurant for dinner. 

He keeps on asking me whether he make it right. 

Whether he make me happy. 

Whether I like the cakes. 

Whether I love the foods.

--- to be honest, his effort melts my heart hihi

Sebagai seorang yang pro buat surprise (eh puji diri sendiri nampak 😝) dekat orang, I acknowledge his effort! A+++++. 

And paling penting I got his handmade card. Our yearly tradition 🌹 

Part ni I kalah lah. A simple card definitely my thing. But my husband ni extra sikit, all his card definitely unique gila. I pernah tak reti bukak his card last year, unnoticed the important notes he wrote at the card so dia merajuk haha. Now each and every part of the card I try to pull and open so that I wont miss any of the notes again. Lesson learned ay? :p

This year, I heard they sing the birthday song daily from 1st of September. Bayangkan lah for how many days they sang the birthday song untuk i. haha. Below is icha.. Proudly pegang kad yang icha buat for ibu. shayang icha!

Before I end this entry, let me share with you guys some of yesterday moment during my birthday.
