Review: Swiss Garden Genting deluxe king room & Garden Terrace café

Assalamualaikum 💗

Last weekend, we went to Genting for the closing of my birthday month! Hahaha. I know know. It’s a bit too much ay this year. I start my birthday month with a staycation and ended it with a staycation as well. Start it with a bad staycation, but ended it with an awesome one! Bukan I je, both my husband and icha enjoyed our stay this time around 😊

It was a smooth check-in experience, their customer service was so efficient, smooth eating experience at their café for dins, and we super love their jacuzzi and sauna.

Meh I share our room first oki.

We got a deluxe king room and it comes with free breakfast. Everything was super neat, the room faces the awesome view, there was no weird bathroom smell, all basic amenities was provided. Iron was not included but fret not. Just call their CS and the iron will be sent straight away to your door.

At first, we were in torn to choose cable car/ dip our toes into their pool. After a few considerations, we choose pool dulu, sebab we taknak rushed bila naik cable car to the top. We wanted to enjoy the view. 😊

They provided a schedule for pool due to this new norm. With this, much easier nak refer kan? 

Kami decide nak guna pool at 6pm without knowing that there will be loads of other people who wanted to enjoy the pool as well. Haha yakin sungguh sis few mins before 6 baru nak pi. Maka mendapatlah to wait for another one hour since 6pm session was fully booked. Oh ya, kena beratur to book oki?

By the way, pool ni sharing basis with the windmill management. Which mean, other than hotel quest, everyone from the homestay from windmill pun shared the same pool. But trust me, its worthhhhhhh it! One hour waiting period to dip our toes inside their pool definitely berbaloi for us. By the way, masa tunggu turn ni, cuaca sejukkkkkk gila. Dah rasa macam dekat korea. Dapat je masuk jacuzzi dia, fuhhhh lega betui. Selain dari tu, the view was amazing mashaAllah. Cantikkkk sangat! 

Later we had our dinner at their garden terrace café. Cara nak order makanan dekat café ni thru QR code. Once u scan the code, terus keluar the menu, and the waiter will come to take your order. 

We chose:

1. Chicken chop – RM 28

Hubs approved! He loves it. Bagi I, okay je lah sebab I tak suka makan makanan yang tak well done. Tapi icha pun suka jugak. Habis hubs and icha makan berdua.

2. Fish & chip – RM 34

This was among the first to reach our table. But definitely not to our liking. A bit tasteless, and the dipping sauce is just a normal dipping sauce. Nothing extra on this dish. Just okay.

3. Nasi goreng kampung with ayam berempah – RM 25

Hubs approved this menu as well. Habis sepinggan he ate my himself. Banyak kali repeat cakap sedap sedappp.

4. Mee + kueytiaw goreng – RM 25

(don't judge a book by its cover - gitu disclaimer haha) Request without seafood bcs hubs couldn’t eat it. It was sedap! What make it extra was when they give me cili potong bila I request. Extra point for this!! Haha.

All in all, it was worth it. Berbaloi makan dekat sini. Eventho the service was quite slow, they were very helpful!

During breakfast,  kitorng turun lambatttt. After 9 am baru turun haha. Everything dah habis. But surprisingly they add in more menus eventho breakfast time was almost over. Cuma kena tunggu a bit lah. Loved their hashbrown, nasi goreng pun sedap. Omelette was good cuma a bit masin. Sup sayur was delish. All other basic menus macam salad, buah, cereal pun ada. Their kaya and butter spread definitely da bomb! U need to try it out oki. Campur both, and makan. Fuhhh, so sedap. Luckily I sedar diri, if not maybe I akan bertambah makan roti with this filling :p

All in all, we enjoyed our staycation! Tapi sebenarnya yang paling penting icha happy. In whatever we do, we always prioritize icha’s happiness walaupun kitorng rajin membebel dekat icha jugak sebenarnya. 😛 

Sebelum tidur semalam, icha cakap “thankyou ayah ibu bawak icha jalan tidur hotel, naik cable car mandi swimming pool”

p/s: lepas solat semalam, hubs panggil icha untuk doa sekali. Icha duduk dekat tepi katil, and she started to say her prayer. “Ya Allah, icha nak tidur hotel lagi, nak mandi swimming pool, nak naik cable car. Terima kasih Ya Allah” Aduhai.. kids, memang innocent and pure kan?
