Busan: Mugunghwa Train experience

Assalamualaikum, hi guys! πŸ’—

I received a few inquiries on my social media yang interested to know about my experience naik train to and from Busan. So here I am! Lemme share a bit of our experience with you guys. Who knows it might be helpful later on 😊

Sebenarnya nak pergi Busan ada 2 option by train which are KTX and Mugunghwa.

Mugunghwa ~ 6 hours (140 km/h) / KTX ~ 2 hours 15 minutes (305 km/h)

For this entri I will share on Mugunghwa train oki. First thing first... Mugunghwa train tu apa?

The Mugunghwa-oo is a class of train operated by Korail, main railway operator of South Korea. Mugunghwa trains are Korail's slowest tier of trains stopping at a number of towns and villages, and operating over a number of lines that are not served by other trains. Mugunghwa train will stop at each station. That is the reason why it took about 6 hours to reach Busan.

Iya Benerrrr, lama sungguh. Tapi kalau u naik ktx, dia akan straight sampai Busan. From here you can make your decision which one you prefer most. We contemplate to waste our precious 6 hours in the train, but I can say that our decision was worth it. Tapi kalau next time pi Busan, KTX will be our choice! Hahahah.

Sebelum gerak ke Seoul station (tempat nak naik mugunghwa train to busan), kitorang refer to the online schedule bila train akan depart. I think it depart at around 9 am in the morning. So, we confidently arrived the station at 8 am. TANPA BELI TIKET LAGI YA. We bought our tixs on the spot which was nearly a big mistake sebab tix ngam ngam soi tinggal for us as we choose the one departs at 9 am. Phew.  Dah la beratur lama jugak at the ticket counter. Nasib rezeki kami, dapat beli tiket terakhir available to depart to Busan at our desired depart time.

Nah a few of the station photos. Definitely can feel the train to Busan vibe! πŸ˜‚

Sebelum turun, sempat singgah kedai kegemaran. Beli bfast since we tak sempat bfast at the hotel. Ni wajib!

Ni adik I suka betui. She said sedap.

Us Infront of the train!

We waited there dalam 10 minutes je. Kitorang dapat dekat free seated koc since this was the only option left. This koc takda numbering system. Totally based on first come first serve basis.

By the time train depart, koc dah penuh gila dengan orang. Siap ada yang duduk atas lantai train. Tapi kejap je ramai orang, as the train move towards Busan, the people started to lessen.

Us dalam train

Koc kami duduk ni siap ada tempat makan menghadap luar

Vending machine yang never ending orang guna (kitorang pun sama terpengaruh guna :p). This ahjussi la purposely beli snack bagi icha.

Si kecik yang happy dapat snack from random stranger. Muka macamtu sebab baru bangun tidur haha.  I rasa masa otw to Busan, icha dapat few snacks from different stranger.

Dah tak ramai orang masa ni

Ada tandas (kecik gila ya tak selesaaaaa, if nak guna sila guna as early as the train depart. Kalau idak….. if u know u know 😝 )

Along the way, the scenery was breathtaking mashaAllah. I rasa goosebump sebab its too pretty. Rasa macam mimpi when I can indulge myself with the scenery. Definitely feeling the K Drama vibe instantly hehe :’)

----- and Yay da sampai busan! Hello Busan unnie!

We straight away bought the return tickets sebelum keluar from the station. Masa ni nak request for forward seat, but orang dekat counter tak faham. So kitorng memang gamble jela beli haha. Nasib dapat betul forward seat! Kalau tak pening lah 6 jam dalam train :’P

Our experiences were wonderful. Despite the time taken, everything else was worth it. Pst sakit belakang sket lah sebab lama sangat :p

p/s: the tickets cost us 28 600KRW ~ RM 100 ± for each person. I rasa masa ni icha tak payah bayar, so 3 adults RM 300 for one-way tickets.

Mula mula we opt for KTX, but the price difference was too big. For one way, it cost us nearly 60,000 W ~ RM210. The return tixs will be RM 400 + / pax. We already opt for this masa mula mula plan, tapi bila fikirkan we can save it for something else... terus we chose Mugunghwa.

Busan: Jagalchi market

Assalamualaikum πŸ’—

This will be my last post on places yang sempat I cover dekat Busan. Ingat tak I cakap on my last entry here yang I got something up in my sleeve? So here we go.. I akan revealed apooo yang I buat on the very last minute before we board the train. Hehe.

MY PLANNED WAS: WE MUST GO TO JAGALCHI MARKET BY HOOK OR BY CROOK

With the very limited time remained I asked everyone (read: paksa πŸ˜œ) to join me EVENTHO WE WERE IN RUSHED AT THAT MOMENT. I keluarkan segala hujah yang I boleh fikir untuk buat semua pergi jugak jagalchi market haha. Adik I kata jagalchi dekat je dengan Busan station. Which this was the station untuk naik train balik Seoul. Makanyaaaa, I was very tempted to came here before we leave.

Masa ni dalam kepala I fikir MAKANAN JE.

I tak fikir langsung tiket burn sebab terlambat ke, sesat masa nak cari location ke. NONE. GILA BETUI BILA I FIKIR BALIK! πŸ˜†Bayangkan lah kalau kitorang tertinggal train, berapa ratus lagi melayang for each tixs! Oh well, maisarah memang sentiasa tak fikir long term eh, all I knew was instant happiness! Gittew ayat penyelamat diri.

From Gamcheon culture village, naik bas turun bawah before we take the subway to reach here. Every few minutes mesti akan tengok jam whether we can make it or not. Berlari oki semata mata nak jugak sampai sini.

We reached here without hiccups! #hidupnavermaps #functionteroxx

Lega betui i. Settle one part.

The other one was nak pergi mana eh?

Which place paling sedap to eat their seafood?

I punya aim cuma nak pojang grilled fish with loadsss of kimchi untuk makan lunch atas train nanti. Nampak je kedai pertama, tengok harga affordable terus pojang 2 set! Tak google pun whether this place okay ke tak. Yakin kan? πŸ˜…

Nak jadi cerita, owner kedai tak reti English at all eh. I pulak cuma tahu few hangul words to converse with them. I use pojang sambil tunjuk menu. Terus they faham and start to make my order. Masa nak order ni punyalah gabra sebab kejar masa sangat.

I asyik ulang “ppali juseyo ahjussiiiii” (cepat sikit please, pakcik)

But still kena tunggu dalam 15 mins sebab they grilled it on the spot. Macam cacing kepanasan kitorang tunggu makanan siap (ke I je macam cacing masatu? πŸ˜‚).  Di sebabkan I takleh duduk diam sebab nervous, I pi pojang snack untuk makan dalam train.

This one! Famous ya, everywhere ada. I beli custard and red bean filling. Makan panas panas, mashaAllah. Sedap sungguh. 10 pcs/ 50000 won tak silap.

Dekat stall ni pun kena menunggu jugak sebab orang sebelum I order kemain banyakkkk. Kembali berdebar masa ni sebab kalau grilled fish dah siap, I masih sibuk membeli snack mesti I kena jelingan manja dengan laki I hahahahahahha. Nasib snack I siap dulu! Phew.

This is the short video depan kedai ni.

Nah, they show off their fresh octopus and crab. Drools tak?

Dah siap pojang and bayar, terus berlari ke Busan station untuk kejar train! Sempat lagi beli persimmon dekat area subway. Sebab kalut, kena game lah sis. Dapat persimmon hat ranum siap pecah dah weh. Pecah hatiku melihatnya~~~

Naik train ngam ngam duduk terus train bergerak! Tergamam kejap masani. Dok fikir kalau terlewat beberapa minit tadi macam mana gaya la eh? Nasib sempat :p

Anyway, these were the dishes yang kemain semangat nak pergi jugakkkk that market to pojang.

Makan panas panas. Fuh sedap gila ya. Ikan tu manis betui. Tengok icha makan, asyikkk banget ya.

Nasi habis, tapi ikan tak habis habis sebab banyak sangat. Padahal beli 2 set jeee.

Nah kimchi buat tatapan! I mintak extra kimchi from the owner.

Nasib dia faham :p Sedap sungguh rasa kimchi ni! I rasa kimchi tersedap I makan both dekat Busan.

The view while eating, mashaAllah

Lepas makan, solat dalam train and terus lena sampai Seoul. Jauh oki. 6 hours. Luckily we got a seat this time around.

A very good moment to be remembered. Annyeong Busan!

Busan: Gamcheon Cultural village

Assalamualaikum πŸ’—

So today I nak continue with Busan story.

This time, lesgo to Gamcheon Cultural village! Gittew. Macam pengembaraan masa pulak eh nak masuk mesin masa ramai ramai hehe. We came here after Oryukdo Skywalk. We need to change bus masa dekat area Busan station.

Charge battery sat si kecik ni

Sementara tunggu new bus we bought this drink since everyone felt dizzy due to the bus ride. Sedap! It cost us around 3500 won je hehe.

By the way.. I rasa kitorang sampai tempat ni takdela lambat sangat but sadly we made a mistake.

Kami naik bas untuk pergi this village but unknowingly (boleh ke guna term ni bila ko memang sedar masa turun bas??? Hahaha) ----- kitorang turun bas sebelum sampai destinasi -.- Masa turun tu driver bas ni dok cakap korea dengan kitorang, tapi sepatah habuk dok pahe. and everyone was looking at us weirdly. Never knew it was actually the signal to “woi belum sampai destinasi lah! πŸ˜†

…..and as a result

WE WALK FOR MORE THAN ½ hour.

Phew.

Peluh jangan cakaplah even cuaca masa tu sejuk. Dengan kena tolak stroller sebab icha dok lena. Steep stairs and kawasan dia berbukit along the way.

Boleh ke nak sedapkan hati dengan:

We got to enjoy the view!"

"Cantik sangat the surrounding! "

"We didn’t regret our mistake!

Contoh view :p

Hahahahha okay la bolehla. Hang sendiri yang pi kan mana orang lain nak tau apa hang rasa 😜

Bila dah sampai atas, ada one place where you can collect the map that shows the overall view of the village.

We were starstruck with the building and view. Cantik sangat..

These are some of the photos from the village yang sempat kitorang snap gambar.

Entrance to the cultural village

Menarik kan? Atas bumbung ada this kind of deco

One for the memory!

One of the cultural village alley

This one was the best hotteok yang kitorang pernah makan sepanjang dekat korea. mashaAllah seriously it was sooo good! Balik seoul pun tak dapat dah hotteok sesedap ni

And one cotton candy for icha.

Bersungguh tak si kecik ni makan?

Tempat ni besar tau. But I think we managed to cover not even half of the village. Sebab we made another mistake!!!! πŸ˜‚

Masa snap gambar ni dah mula grumpy. Contemplate whether to stay or leave sebab dah 1/2 jam beratur.

Masih grumpy - 45 mins inline

The view, masa tengah tunggu turn

Phone perspective! hehe

and..... this. Ni mistake tu.

Berbaloi tak???

Dah tahu ramai orang but still nak juga tangkap gambar dekat sini. Dengan motto, kita datang jauh jauh so we gotta took picture here! Begitulah. Habis nearly sejam dekat sini. Settle tangkap gambar berkejaran lari cari bas untuk balik Seoul by train. Masa ni memang kena balik terus tau sebab our train will depart in less than 2 hour/ 1 hour + macamtu. Plus jauhhh from this attraction to the busan station.

Tapi..

Maisarah kan.

Always something up her sleeve (hubs knows me best lah, whenever I senyap tiba tiba mesti dia dah berdebar he said hahaha). Nak tahu apa nanti I share on next entri! :p

Kitorang naik bas turun. Speechless betul masa naik bas sebab dok terbayang jauh betui kitorang berjalan masa nak naik. By bus it took about 5 minutes jeeeee.  By the way jalan dia sempit gila ya but I guess diorang dah biasa with the road so the driver bawak laju betui. Kitorang dalam bas yang dok terjegil jegil bijik mata everytime lalu corner πŸ˜…

If you planned to come here, make sure you have enough time oki. Sebab tempatnya cantik.. so, you need to enjoy the scenery and building. Sadly, we couldn’t do it that day due to the time constraint.

Busan: Oryukdo Skywalk

Assalamualaikum! πŸ’—

RUNNING MAN BROUGHT US HERE!

I mean brought my husband and my sis here lah. Running Man is their fav πŸ˜…

We came here as early as we can bcs this skywalk was quite far from our hotel.

This girl yang tak takut tinggi langsung. Siap boleh baring dekat this skywalk and pandang bawah which was super gayat! Tapiiiii.. Icha gelak je masa ni πŸ˜…

Since we reach here early in the morning, the place was still empty from visitors. Jadi lama jugak kitorang spend masa dekat skywalk ni. Oh ya.. sebelum pijak lantai kaca ni kena pakai special shoe cover dulu oki. They prepared the shoe cover dekat dalam one big box at the skywalk entrance. Wajibbbb pakai! I rasa untuk pastikan kaca skywalk tu tak bercalar with tapak kasut etc. Btw.. Kids size takda, so wear whatever provided. Icha excited betui bila dapat pakai size besaq haha.

Cantik kan the view?

I nearly burst into tears sebab rasa amazed sangat with the breathtaking view. Rasa macam mimpi pun ada sebab sampai dekat sini..

Anyway.. Icha was so happy.

Banyak jenis posing boleh dapat when she was in a good mood.

Sebijik perangai ibu bukan?! :p

Travel yang terbest was when ada someone willingly to take your photo segigih ini! Haha. #iniyangkitamahukan #upahlebih #sayangjugalebih #eh

And these were the outcome! Gambar cantik = happy me. Kalau idak berpusing lah dunia tengok diriku grumpy gambar lawo takda hahahahaha. Ya bener suami? πŸ˜›

Skywalk ni kecik je, so each corner orang posing seperti gambar ini πŸ™ˆ

Teropong ni ada nearby the skywalk area tu. Intai siapa tu bang?

Within the same area ada tangga untuk turun bahagian bawah.

The view masa turun tangga

Sebab cantik, terpaksa bergambar. Eh. Hehe.

Ni bahagian bawah tu. Jauh jugak berjalan, dalam 10 minutes. Ke sebab banyak berhenti bergambar? haha. Tapiiiii bahaya sikit lah (ke banyak???) masa kitorang pergi tu. Angin kuat, plus curam gila.

Nah boomerang video.

Bila tengok balik video ni terus terfikir what on earth where you thinking Maisarah? Kenapa turun sampai area sini huhu. Reality lagi scary!

Tapi masih sempat bergambar buat kenangan -.-  nampak tak dress i basah? tu tempias air la tu.

Lepas naik atas balik, kitorang lapaq gila. We purposely bought one drink dekat cafΓ© nearby sebab nak mintak air panas for maggi cup. Mula mula the cafΓ© owner taknak bagi pun air panas tu, tapi entah apa yang dia cakap which I tak faham, at the end dia mintak maggi cup tu masukkan air haha. Sedap betui makan sejuk sejuk. Air ni pun sedap gila! Harga 7-8,000 won (~ rm25).

Ke sebab tu air ni jadi extra sedap?! 😜

Belakang i tu skywalk. Kena mendaki juga sikit sebelum sampai the skywalk.

On the way nak tunggu dekat bus stop, nampak another route masa nak keluar. Nak try the route pun dah tak boleh sebab kejar masa to another attraction area. Ke sebab dah tak larat eh masani? Alasan betui πŸ™Š

View masa tunggu bas. Cantik kan?

I would say it is definitely worth it to come here. Eventho it was quite far from our hotel, the view definitely made everthing worthwhile. Make sure to include this place if you happen to come to Busan one day! πŸ’œ

Direction : Nearest station: Jangsan Station Line 2. Take Exit 7, then take Bus 2 to Cheongsapo.

p/s: The entrance fee for this skywalk is free! Best kan? Hehe. Opening hours are from 09:00-18:00 daily. But the closing is extended until 20:00 from June to August.

p/p/s: If you come here by public transport, you can opt for the bus. But pls bear in mind riding bus be it in Seoul or Busan are practically the same. They were ridiculously nauseous. Well at least for us. We felt dizzy as soon as the bus starts moving! I ada make short footage on my experience while riding the bus, you can see it in my Instagram highlight oki!
