Assalamualaikum, hi guys! π
I received a few inquiries on my social media yang interested to know about my experience naik train to and from Busan. So here I am! Lemme share a bit of our experience with you guys. Who knows it might be helpful later on π
Sebenarnya nak pergi Busan ada 2 option by train which are KTX and Mugunghwa.
Mugunghwa ~ 6 hours (140 km/h) / KTX ~ 2 hours 15 minutes (305 km/h)
For this entri I will share on Mugunghwa train oki. First thing first... Mugunghwa train tu apa?
The Mugunghwa-oo is a class of train operated by Korail, main railway operator of South Korea. Mugunghwa trains are Korail's slowest tier of trains stopping at a number of towns and villages, and operating over a number of lines that are not served by other trains. Mugunghwa train will stop at each station. That is the reason why it took about 6 hours to reach Busan.
Iya Benerrrr, lama sungguh. Tapi kalau u naik ktx, dia akan straight sampai Busan. From here you can make your decision which one you prefer most. We contemplate to waste our precious 6 hours in the train, but I can say that our decision was worth it. Tapi kalau next time pi Busan, KTX will be our choice! Hahahah.
Sebelum gerak ke Seoul station (tempat nak naik mugunghwa train to busan), kitorang refer to the online schedule bila train akan depart. I think it depart at around 9 am in the morning. So, we confidently arrived the station at 8 am. TANPA BELI TIKET LAGI YA. We bought our tixs on the spot which was nearly a big mistake sebab tix ngam ngam soi tinggal for us as we choose the one departs at 9 am. Phew. Dah la beratur lama jugak at the ticket counter. Nasib rezeki kami, dapat beli tiket terakhir available to depart to Busan at our desired depart time.
Nah a few of the station photos. Definitely can feel the train to Busan vibe! π
Sebelum turun, sempat singgah kedai kegemaran. Beli bfast since we tak sempat bfast at the hotel. Ni wajib!
Ni adik I suka betui. She said sedap.
Us Infront of the train!
We waited there dalam 10 minutes je. Kitorang dapat dekat free seated koc since this was the only option left. This koc takda numbering system. Totally based on first come first serve basis.
By the time train depart, koc dah penuh gila dengan orang. Siap ada yang duduk atas lantai train. Tapi kejap je ramai orang, as the train move towards Busan, the people started to lessen.
Us dalam train
Koc kami duduk ni siap ada tempat makan menghadap luar
Vending machine yang never ending orang guna (kitorang pun sama terpengaruh guna :p). This ahjussi la purposely beli snack bagi icha.
Si kecik yang happy dapat snack from random stranger. Muka macamtu sebab baru bangun tidur haha. I rasa masa otw to Busan, icha dapat few snacks from different stranger.
Dah tak ramai orang masa ni
Ada tandas (kecik gila ya tak selesaaaaa, if nak guna sila guna as early as the train depart. Kalau idak….. if u know u know π )
Along the way, the scenery was breathtaking mashaAllah. I rasa goosebump sebab its too pretty. Rasa macam mimpi when I can indulge myself with the scenery. Definitely feeling the K Drama vibe instantly hehe :’)
----- and Yay da sampai busan! Hello Busan unnie!
We straight away bought the return tickets sebelum keluar from the station. Masa ni nak request for forward seat, but orang dekat counter tak faham. So kitorng memang gamble jela beli haha. Nasib dapat betul forward seat! Kalau tak pening lah 6 jam dalam train :’P
Our experiences were wonderful. Despite the time taken, everything else was worth it. Pst sakit belakang sket lah sebab lama sangat :p
p/s: the tickets cost us 28 600KRW ~ RM 100 ± for each person. I rasa masa ni icha tak payah bayar, so 3 adults RM 300 for one-way tickets.
Mula mula we opt for KTX, but the price difference was too big. For one way, it cost us nearly 60,000 W ~ RM210. The return tixs will be RM 400 + / pax. We already opt for this masa mula mula plan, tapi bila fikirkan we can save it for something else... terus we chose Mugunghwa.
