Ikan Bakar Alai, Melaka.

Semenjak dah try makan seafood on our last trip to Melaka, we (read as I :p) ketagih pulak nak makan again. So I make sure to eat seafood lah for this trip eventho hubs cannot eat seafood hehe. Kali ni i nak try out new place yang dikatakan famous jugak di Melaka. Bila I google, it turns out ada other few choices yang best. 

Anyway.. I didn't even know why on earth that I choose this place out of many ahahah. So apa nama tempatnya? Ikan Bakar Alai, Melaka.

Ada banyak kedai makan around this area. Dia macam food court style. Mula mula tu i tak perasan sangat kedai ada banyak.. bila dah kena tarik masuk satu kedai ni baru i notice 😅 bahagian luar bersusun kerusi, and bahagian dalam ada bangunan macam foodcourt with places for the shop to cook the seafood.

Macam biasa, seafood kena pilih and timbang. Kedai i makan ni takda option ikan pari ke ikan kembung ke. Memang ikan atasan je dia letak. So i ambik siakap lah. Itupun siakap semua besaq gila. Mintak paling kecik pun takda. Dok risau gimana nak habiskan makan siakap sebsaq alam itu. Makanya redhoooo konsepnya. Lepastu i ambik sotong 2, udang 6 ekor campur kailan satu.

Kailan kosong. Takda any garnish kecuali bawang dan sos tiram? Tak berbaloi bagi i. Huhu.

Sotong goreng tepung berharga RM36/ 2 ekor size penumbuk. Kalau tanya i, mahai lah. Tapi sebab yang sampai dekat i sotong goreng tepung bukan cekodok sotong, i bagi lah star for that hehe

Ikan siakap; half i request masak stim. This one sedap! Kuah dia cukup masam pedas and all. Cuma icha kenot go sebab spicy for her haha shiann anak ibu

Udang goreng butter? I rasa ni macam udang nestum instead of butter. okaylah... RM 24/ 6 ekor udang

Another half ikan i request for bakar. Masa mula mula ikan sampai togel kosong takda any sambal. Rupanya kena mention ya kalau nak bakar sambal. Ni pun i mintak dia add sambal. Sambal dia tak sedap. Sekian.

Buah potong RM 10. Okay lah bolehla buat kudap kudap sementara tunggu main dish sampai. Portion besaq kami siap tapau bawak balik.

For us, total makan all tak termasuk buah is RM 92. Harga ni memang lauk dekat atas ni dan nasi putih 3 plate sahaja. Air masak je we ordered. Kalau tanya i, macam kena ketuk pun ada. Sebab masa nak timbang tu i tak tunggu situ terus duduk sebab dia suruh duduk terus. Tapi bila i bagitau my mom harga makanan yang kami makan is RM92 her reply was eh okay la harga tu.

---- and i terus senyap hahahaha.

in conclusion, Ikan Bakar Muara Sg Duyung >>>>>>>>>>>> than this one. Maybe i tersilap pilih kedai. Maybe ada je kedai ikan bakar hat sedap and worth it dekat Alai. Sadly i tak merasa that. 

Mungkinkah akan ada penggembaraan seafood lagi on the next visit? Kita sama sama nantikan oki! 😝

Hotel Rosa, Melaka : Deluxe King Room

Berakhir sudah our yearly trip to Melaka. Coming here have been our yearly tradition since icha smol. Sebenarnya.. We should come here early this year tapi disebabkan restrictions due to covid 19 terus drag. We plan for the visit on this coming November awal awal tu.. tengok tengok ada election pulak.. Maka i call the hotel untuk change the date AGAIN. Nasiblah di layan... Maka trip ni sesungguhnya last minit amat. Dapat confirmation on Friday, Saturday terus shoot ke melaka lepas kerja.

Bak kata my husband, #rentasselagiboleh 😂

We choose this hotel sebab tertarik with the interior. Boleh dapat good bargain kalau beli thru shopee.

Harga yang ditawarkan for 2 night in shopee is actually one night kalau beli in any other website. So, bolehlah cuba this hotel oki. The check in process was smooth. They asked for my name and voila terus boleh check in. Bear in mind ya, kalau check in on weekend ada surcharge RM 100 tak kisah la check in for how many days. I bayar RM100 for 2 night stay. Pihak ROSA even ada remind dalam email masa nak book about this surcharge. Even masa nak purchase voucher thru shopee pun ada mention this tnc.

We were so happy with our stay. Bilik bersih, no weird smell and they even cleaned our room eventho we didn't ask them to. Maybe to some akan rasa they breach privacy.. to us we were happy! haha. Mula mula we contemplate to let them clean our room sebab MALAS. Boleh? Plus tak kotor mana pun. Tapi bila balik je bilik during zohor tu tengok bilik dah dikemas. Sengih happy la kami, hehe.

ROSA provide a breakfast buffet for their customer as well. Kalau tak silap i, RM 31-32/ pax. So bolehla cuba kalau berminat. We didn't opt for that choice sebab nak makan breakfast dekat luar. Sadly for those two days stay, we didn't even manage to try out the famous breakfast pun haha. Ni memang petanda kena datang lagi tahun depan 😋

Sebelum i lupa, ROSA ada sediakan parking for their customer oki. So janganlah risau kena parking merata rata ke apa ke kan... and its free! Yay. I bagi sepuluh bintang for this perks. Sebab parking nya takyah berpusing pusing ke basement or ke langit.. memang di ground floor level je. So easy!

p/s: Another 10 brownie point for ROSA sebab sediakan iron dan iron board siap siap dalam bilik. Untuk someone yang memang wajib guna iron during travel, this one sememangnya extra love i bagi hehehe.

Tunaikan cek di mesin ATM; Kena sign dekat cek ke tak eh?

Disebabkan semalam i baru pergi cash cek di kaunter, maka nak share here cara cara untuk cash kan cek di bank. Semoga post ni membantu korang yang blur blur macam i. Macam macam eh dalam fikiran. Risau duit hilang lah, salah buat lah apelah. Nervous kemain. Luckily all went well and dah settle! Yay. So jum i share here langkah langkah untuk tunaikan cek di bank pilihan anda oki 😄

First thing first masa dapat cek, sila semak nama korang ya. Pastikan ejaan nama penuh dan amaun (RM) pada cek adalah amaun yang betul. Sebelum ni i dapat cek yang ejaan nama i salah. So i kena return and wait for a new one. Nak tunggu cek baru punyalah lama.. hampir terlupa dah sebab nearly setahun 😅

Anyway, lepas dah periksa cek semua okay.. Bolehla tulis nama di bahagian belakang cek. Pastikan nama sama dengan bahagian hadapan cek ya. Isikan juga no akaun bank dan no telefon. Pastikan ketiga-tiga maklumat ini diisi dengan betul untuk mengelakkan cek di tendang. Kalau cek tendang habislaaaa hampaaaa.. 

YANG PENTING SILA SIGN CEK ANDA OKI. 

Part ni la i paling nervous taktau samada kena sign ka dak. Sebab bila baca dari cek tu kalau tukar dari bahagian kotak tu kena sign (ikut fahaman i lah). Tu i dok ulang alik depan bank sebab hesitate whether to sign or not to sign. Last last i pi approach random bank worker yang otw ke kereta tanya. Kesian dia, nervous gila masa i approach tu. Mesti ingat i nak scam dia sebab dalam masa yang sama i tanya soalan tu tangan i dok seluk dalam beg kain tepi i 😅

Anyway.....

Kalau dapat cek CIMB tetapi akaun bank Maybank, you pergi ke Maybank oki. Sila ke bank yang anda miliki akaun simpanan. Bukan ke bank yang tertera di atas cek ya.

Lepas dah settle isi semua, bolehla pi bank. Sila ke bank terdekat dan cari Cheque Deposit Machine seperti gambar bawah ni:

JJCM: Dimsum Buffet di Eastin Hotel PJ.

Kalini I nak share tempat makan sempena my birthday staycation last week. Kami makan buffet dimsum di Ee Chinese Cuisine di Hotel Eastin PJ. I ada baca banyak good review about this place, so i  ajak husband makan here. Parking free tak perlu bayar  since kami stay di hotel ni. Kalau orang luar yang datang mainly to eat, i think the parking fee mahal sikit.

Kalini i tempted untuk cuba makan dimsum di Eastin Hotel PJ pula. Please book early oki sebab walk in usually tak da kekosongan. I nasib baik a day earlier tu i pi turun bawah direct ke restoran ni. Niat di hati nak makan for dinner rupanya dimsum buffet available for lunch je. Mula mula tu dah fully booked jugak.. tp Alhamdulillah ada rezeki last minit sebab ada yang cancel booking.

Prawn dumplings

Verdict: Hat ni i tak sempat nak try sebab icha dah habiskan all by herself. But i guess mestila sedap kan sebab anak i boleh habiskan all? Try k!

Seaweed beancurd spring roll

Verdict: It was so good! I dapat roll ni masa tengah panas panas lagi. So memang puas hati lah masa i makan. I sempat makan seketui je,lagi dua husband i makan. He approved the sedapness as well. Try oki!

Stuffed dried fish maw

Verdict: Okay lah for me. Bahagian atas tu isi ikan and bahagian bawah is tofu. I dont fancy it but i can eat it. Gitu. 

Fried radish cake with duck egg & chives

Verdict: I tak sure what to expect from this dish sebab usually i jumpa all non halal. Ni first time i makan and i LOvEEEEeeee it! Sedappp. Boleh rasa char dekat radish cake as well. Finish all sekelip mata. Order oki!

Herbal Jelly

Verdict: Also dunno what to expect, but eager to try sebab selalu nampak dalam mall kedai chinese juai. SIapa pernah makan cincau? Ha tu rasa dia. With herbal smell and also bitter aftertaste. Can try kalau ada rasa curiosity macam i. Tak try pun takpeeee hehe.

Crispy chives prawn dumplings

Verdict: Sedapppp! Plus point is dumpling ni sampai panas panas. Kalau suka makan sayur this one wajib order oki. Penuh kucai je dalam dumpling ni. Sedap!

(ps to my husband: ada udang dalam ni, u eat two of this! 😂)

Chicken & Prawn Chee Cheong Fun

Verdict: Finger licking good! Ni menu yang wajib order. Satu pinggan sorang memang tak cukup. Husband makan chicken, he gives double thumbs up. Icha makan prawn also gives double thumbs up. Please give it a try oki!

Glutinous rice with chicken mushroom

Verdict: I DONT LIKE IT. Ada udang kering and the taste is weird. I pernah rasa dekat mohd chan which was nicer than this one. But kalau u suka udang kering, can try this dish oki.

Chilled Avocado with Mango puree

Verdict: Just the normal puree with fruits taste. Kalau tak suka avocado macam i, toksah order na. Mango tu sedap, icha habiskan. 

Chicken feet with black pepper sauce

Verdict: It was just okay. Lagi sedap kaki ayam dekat bangi hotel yang i rasa last two years. Hubs cannot tolerate this dish haha kesian dia. Maybe sebab ada weird smell sikit kut. Can try kalau suka kaki ayam. If not better try other dish oki.

Crispy veggie chee cheong fun

Verdict: It was so goood! Mula mula rasa sayur nipis nipis then u got that big mushroom chunk towards the end. So sedap! Recommended! Pls try!

Shanghainese Xiao Long Bao

Verdict: Sedap gila! Please la order banyak sikit this menu. Eat it in one bite, akan rasa letusan kesedapan (gituh) sebab ada sup and chicken in it. Wajib order oki. Menu ni we both agree sedap and wajib cuba.

Siew Mai with flower mushroom

Verdict: Sedapppp! Ada udang besaq sekali dalam dimsum ni. I tak sure la siewmai i makan selama ni siewmai jenis apa sebab selama ni ayam je filling yang i makan. Kalini ada udang siap. Ke silap dapat order eh? Sebab i takda rasa mushroom pun. Haha. Tapi.. Memang sedap. Try na!

Chicken dumpling with spicy sauce

Verdict: It was just okay.. Sauce dia pedas manja je. Ada kacang sekali dalam kuah tu. By the way.. Dish ni ada udang tau. Nama je chicken tapi ada campur udang. So hati hati la incase ada yang allergic seafood macam husband i. Dish ni okay lah not bad. Can give it a try oki!

KORANG, NI WAJIB LA ORDER BANYAK BANYAKKKKK

Egg tart

Verdict: Seriously sedap gila. To be honest, im not a fan of egg tart. Sebab i pernah terkena yang rasa horror. This time around I saja je order. Tak sangka turned out to be super good. The shell was flaky (which I like) and the filling was delish. I makan ni last sekaliii which was a bad decision lah sebab i dah kenyang gila waktu ni sebab kalau makan awal boleh order lagi. Hahahahah. Kenyang kenyang pun i managed to eat all (okayla one bite i bagi husband i rasa, aci la kan haha). So please order this one kalau tak for sure menyesal!!

Verdict: Sedapnya mashaAllah. Antara menu terawal yang sampai atas meja. Hubs loves the fish skin, while icha love the porridge. Bertambah tambah dua dua makan. Rasa bubur ni sebijik macam bubur ibu i masak masa i kecik. Korang wajib try k!

Durian puffs

Verdict: Rapuh tapi inti dia bukan durian paste. Tak sure apa but not to our liking. 

Double-boiled peach jelly with red dates

Verdict: It was goood. Order dua kali sebab sejuk sejuk masuk tekak fuhhh nice. You should try this one oki. Ada red dates, jelly, lotus seed dalam dia. Loveeee!

Semua dish yang sampai dekat kami on that day were steaming hot. Memang panas panas from kitchen straight to our table. Kalau yang suka makan panas panas berasap mulut macam i memang akan bagi plus point dekat part ni. Hehehe. Makanan pun semua fresh. Kalau yang pandai rasa food boleh tahu food tu reheat or masak baru. In this case i boleh cakap semuaaa rasa fresh! Loveeee 😍

I puas hati makan sini. The only downside eating here was lepas makan kami ngantuk gila. Jadi daripada misi nak JJCM terus abort mission. Shoot balik rumah and tidur sampai petang! 😆

p/s: Masa nak bayar tu i terkejut la air teh kena bayo jugak. Dua pot pulak tu kami minum haha.
