JJCM: Satay Rono, Kajang

Assalamualaikum 💗

Harini nak share new place where you can eat satay in Kajang. I dah banyak kali nampak a few of my friend dekat instagram tunjuk tempat makan ni. Cumanya I taktahu the location. Bila waze rupanya dekat bandar kajang betul betul. 

Since weekend takda buat apa, I ajak pi makan petang dekat luar. Nak jadi cerita kan.. few days before nak pi sini I ada forward link kedai makan best area bangi dengan kajang. Husband suggest we try satay rono since he saw one of the link yang I bagi tu ada kedai ni. Jangan memain eh makan petang satay. So extra! 😆

Masa datang tu husband siap cakap, kalau tempat crowded taknak singgah sebab risau covid. Bila nampak je signboard rono terus jaw drop. Besaq gila kedai ni! Orang pun tak ramai mana sebab bukan peak hour.

Main reason datang sebab nak makan satay. Tapi macam pelik kalau I tak order benda lain selain dalam plan. Definitely not me! Hahaha. So I tambah mee hailam satu sebab tengok gambar dalam menu tu teringat mee hailam I makan masa kecik kecik.

I rasa kan ada banyak makanan dekat sini sebab i nampak ada yang order western food semua. Masa i pergi that day pun i tengok ramai order makanan berkuah. Maybe i can try those menu pulak lepasni.

Jum I share gambar makanan oki.

1. Satay ayam (RM1.06/pc)

I paling pantang la makan satay ayam kalau setakat isi semata mata. Boleh buat I emo 5 saat sebab lepastu I continue makan haha. Untuk satay rono I suka! Sebab ada rasa lembut lembut instead of isi ayam yang keras tu semata. 

2. Satay daging (RM1.48/pc)

Sedap! I suka satay daging. Mind you, I masa kecik anti satay daging sebab I selalu dapat satay daging liat macam nak tercabut gigi bila gigit. Bila dah makin tua ni, I always choose daging >>>>> ayam. Faktor usia mungkin 😆

3. Satay kambing (RM1.91/pc)

First time I makan satay kambing seumur hidup. Sadly, I tak suka rasa satay ni sebab ia terlalu kambing. Bau dia menusuk betui. Padahal I suka je makan kambing tau. Satay ni je I takleh nak telan. So husband I pun dengan gembiranya tolong habiskan 😂

4. Mee hailam (RM 8.50/plate)

Sedap gila makan mee hailam dengan cili jeruk. I jarang jumpa cili jeruk yang pedas, luckily rono give the best cili jeruk! Berpeluh makan sebab pedas. Tapi pedas yang menggembirakan. Faham tak? >< walaupun mee dia tak sama macam gambar and I sedikit kecewa takpelah. Cili jeruk dah buat I happy balik! Dasar hantu cili 😝

6. Nasi lemak (RM1.00/pc)

Nasi lemak ni self-service. Ada siap siap dah atas meja makan. So makan la berapa banyak pun nanti just bagitau cashier je. Don’t judge a nasi lemak by its size oki? Sambal ni pedas gila. Bolehla nak basahkan tekak dengan nasi lemak ni sebelum satay sampai :p

Lupa nak habaq, kalau takeaway kuah kacang kena charge. I ingat nak makan pun kena charge kuah kacang sebab dekat menu ada tulis kuah kacang RM 2. Nasib adik kaunter bagitau kalau makan sini free je kak. 

Maka i bertambah la makan kuah kacang. Thank you dik!

Sedap k kuah kacang rono. But still takleh lawan kuah kacang samuri lah. That one paling sedap so far hihi. Price wise, i rasa rono mahal sikit from the normal satay. Tapi sebab it was good, i rasa maybe in the future i akan repeat datang sini lagi 😋

p/s: They use contactless method (I tak sure la sebab covid ke memang they use this system dari dulu) to order. They provide us with menu dan kertas . Just tulis makanan/minuman yang kita nak and terus ke kaunter untuk buat bayaran. 

JJCM: TGI Friday using Food Panda discount!

Assalamualaikum 💗

Dah lama sebenarnya nak try TGI Friday, tapi asyikla tertangguh sebab makanan lain always menang setiap kali cari tempat makan 😆 kalini dah alang alang duduk hotel musim covid, maka food delivery was the best option left. Ke sebab malas nak keluar bersesak eh masa ni? I pun da lupa sebab this was on september last year.

Kebetulan masa ni food panda buat up to 35 ke 50% discount. I tak ingat. Tapi dapat extra markdown price sebab self pickup. Maka semangat la icha, i dengan husband pilih sorang satu menu. Siap order extra dah alang alang nak cuba.

Ni pasta yang da siap gaul. Terus makan sebab lapar hence this was the photo left

...dan segunung bawang goreng yang husband i tak suka. i suka so i kena habiskan bawang haha

Akhirnya we manage to try TGIF dengan deal yang awesome gila. Boleh percaya tak total for everything was RM 56 je. Iya benerennnnn guys. Sangat berbaloi ya guna food panda kalau kena gaya. Jimat banyak dah macamni.

So, sedap ke?

MashaAllah everything was worth it. Semua sedap sangat. Menu icha was macaroni bites. Banyak icha makan, and icha tak habis habis kata sedap. It was cheesy but not too cheesy. Ngam ngam soi sedap kat tekak. Pasta i pun sedappppp! Cukup rasa la everything. I pilih hat ni sebab toppping dia chicken breast (nak healthy sikit la kononnya :p). hubs choose burger. The only one yang hubs tak suka was the onion. Sejambak bawang as a topping. But everything else was sedap. Lastly the mushroom soup pun sedap. First time i rasa sup cendawan unik macamni. I tak reti nak explain macamana but it was so good! 

Semua menu yang kami pilih ni serving dia boleh makan dua orang. It was big enough for one. Kecuali macaroni bites dengan mushroom soup tu lah. hat garlic bread dapat sikit je tapi gravy dia tu banyak extra even dah makan banyak. Puas hati kami makan that night. Lena sampai ke pagi kekenyangan 🙊

Pavillion Steak & Grill, Bangi

We’ve been to this place twice; the first visit was with my friend and the second one was with my husband. Sebab sedap, within the same week terus ajak husband repeat makan. 

Never knew our taste bud love the foods here. It was sedapness.

I tak letak any expectation on the first visit tu sebab I pernah makan tempat macamni and it turn out to be frustrating. Harga lebih kurang with this restaurant. Tapi rasa dia sedih sungguh. Ordered carbonara for Icha, turned out they just reheat straight from the tin and put on the plate. Nak make it extra, they add some meatballs on the plate. That’s it. #sisemo :p

By the way...

Here is the menu yang we ate here.

1. Macaroni cheese Rm15.90

They make the gravy by themselves. Its cheesy but tak muak. So boleh makan banyak banyak. Icha suka, she even ate half of the plate. Tapi… Nampak macam sikit kan? Kitorang siap tapau bawak balik.

2. Mix platter grill RM 25.90

Combination of grilled chicken with lamb and rib eye. For sides ada coleslaw, mashed potato and corn in the cob. It comes with black pepper sauce as a gravy. I suka sauce dia, sedap. Tapi sebab set ni banyak sangat ingredients dalam plate, kuah dia cepat kering I guess.

3. Cheezy chicken chop RM 11.90

This one was ordered by my friend. I rasa sikit, and I sukaaaa. Untuk anyone yang suka deep-fried chicken chop you can try this menu. Tapi a bit confusing if you refer to their menu... dalam menu cheese sauce dia lain, bila sampai meja lain. But all in all, it was worth it. Portion besar, siap ada side dishes. 😊

4. Fettucine meatball carbonara RM 15.90

We ate this one masa datang with hubs. Since dah pernah try mac and cheese, we opt for this one pulak this time. Sedap macam biasa, gravy was made from scratch which makes me love it even more hehe. Meatball dia rasa biasa je, I rasa they add in readymade meatball into the plate 😊

5. Lamb chop RM 17.90

The lamb was just okay sebab some part of it was overcooked. Tapi kalau dapat part lembut tu memang ngam habis lah makan. Side menu dia sama macam mix platter gril. As usual, the gravy was good. Hubs approved the sauce too. 

6. Churros RM 9.50

Sedap gilaaa (1st time try) ! I makan this menu on both visits. The first time we tried, it was the bomb. Speechless kejap I makan haha sebab it was too good. So, on the second visit tu I order juga but sadly manis sangat. They overcoat the churros with sugar and cinnamon. I can taste mainly was sugar. frust sikit lah.. sebab haritu kemain i brag with him yang churros ni sedap gila 😂

Nanti if I come again, I ambik gambar kedai oki. dia shortcut to Bangi town. Dekat dengan Itik Salai Mashtar bangi.

JJCM: Little Rara Thai Noodle House

kembali lagi dalam rancangan... hang makan apa kali ni? haha.

So this time around, we went to Little Rara Thai Noodle House! this restaurant had been in my list like forever. Lepas habis photoshoot friso gold, terus gerak sini. Waze kata area belakang pavilion, tapi bila sampai tempat tu kedai cina. Orang jaga parking tu kata kedai sebelah tapi tak boleh parking sini, maka we make another round for the sake of pergi kedai sebelah. Dah lapo ni, tapi I dok cakap dengan husband kite tak boleh menyerah kalah! We need to find this kedai sampai jumpa! Can u see semangat waja I dalam makanan? Haha. bayangkan lah i last makan malam semalam, ni dah nearly 24 hours tak makan tapi masih gigih mencari tanpa give up. Little that we know rupanya waze bagi salah jalan AGAIN. Tapi di sebabkan taktahu kedai sebenar dekat mana, husband I pi turun tanya dekat one guy dekat ‘kedai sebelah’ ni.

Husband: kedai little rara thai dekat mana ye?

That guy: bang, memang semua tanya saya soalan sama

Husband: yeke, dekat mana kedai tu sebenarnya

That guy: pudu bang, bangunan &$&^*^(^(. Semua tahu bangunan ni dekat mana bang (tbh we never heard of this building before 😅)

Husband: thankyou bang

That guy: mehla makan kedai sy bang, sy jual makanan jugak

Husband: *speechless* and say sorry haha

So, we look for another direction nak pergi kedai ni. Dalam fikiran I, kedai ni warna pink. And bila nampak kedai ni I terus menjerit kesukaan! That feeling jumpa kedai idaman, fuhhh hehe.

Masa sampai baru sudah maghrib, so customer tak ramai lagi walaupun meja semua hampir penuh. I datang terus dapat meja. Few minutes lepas I duduk, beratur dah orang datang. Kena ambik nombor giliran and wait oki? We were lucky sebab we came few mins early.

Ada dua lot kedai for litte rara thai noodle house. we ate dekat sebelah kedai yang ada label ni. But service kedai ni cepat! even orang ramai gila.. amazed betul. Here is some part of the restaurant.

The menu was pretty simple.

So we chose:

1. Talay Seafood small

Tom yam dia kick gilaaa!!! I sampai nak tersedak makan haha. sebab its totally good! Pekat likat melekat gitu. Walaupun portion is for two siap ada sediakan extra bowl, I makan directly from the pot 😂 

Mula mula contemplate nak try sebab takut tak habis. Bila husband tanya pekerja tu banyak ke? Dia jawab 1 ½ bungkus bang. Terus husband kata ok onz! Meggi serda I boleh makan 3 bungkus in one go hahahaha. Tomyam ni ada level dia, I choose paling pedas. Memang pedas gila ya. Penuh biji cili I jumpa dalam pot, so memang puas hati gila. Wajib try!

2. Tom Yum Ban khai beef

This one husband I makan, he said its good. I ada try, but not as good as mine lah 😝 Sebab tak pekat and pedas macam yang I suka. But the taste is there and my husband boleh habiskan even this was his second plate.

Sebenarnya husband I nak try sama macam orang belakang meja kitorang makan. I dengan yakinnya kata, I order tu la. Sebenarnya tidak ya tuan puan, I salah order. I order tomyam instead of speed boat noodle hahaha. My husband will notice this once he read this in my blog! haluu bebeh 😆

3. Phad Kra Pow beef

It was good. Sedap bagi i, but my husband cakap lagi sedap dekat kedai thai dekat seri serdang. This one is a bit dry while that one basah basah sikit. Knowing my husband yang memang cannot go with dry food i kena la try that seri serdang first to make a comparison. More legit la kan my answer? 😜

4. Volcano Beef

It was okay je, sebab for us it was a bit pricey with the amount of beef on plate. Nipis ya amat ya portion nya. I can eat it in one go je. but sedap lah daging with sauce and cheese. 

We ordered thai tea jugak, but i think it was a bit pricey. cawan biasa je but it cost RM 4 for one glass.

Thankyou layan anak tekak i nak makan sini even tho jammed dia mashaAllah sapu dekat roti pun tak kenyang. haha. but we had a good time kan? 4 plates makan berdua definitely the best answer for my question! 😝

We definitely will come again! if we can forget the jammed part. mashaAllah jammed dia melekat ya masa nak keluar from the parking sebab salah jalan. you should try! and let me know your experience oki?

p/p/s: icha tidur dari sampai kedai sampai keesokan harinya so icha tak berpeluang menikmati makanan. maybe next time? haha.

JJCM Melaka: Sup Lembu Tangkak Melaka & Soya Bukit Cina

Last week.. my family and I went to Melaka and we found new places for JJCM.. I nak share it here with you guys yang suka macam makan I jugak hehe. Since I went to Melaka on weekday, jalan memang smooth ya amat. I am definitely happy! If u know u know lah how busy Melaka can be during weekend and public holiday.

We depart from Kajang around 10 am, and reach melaka perfectly for lunch. I dah siap siap kata dekat husband yang I takmau makan nasi sebab tak lalu. I nak makan sup yang pedas dan panas panas pls. haha. So our first pitstop is…..

SUP LEMBU TANGKAK, MELAKA

This restaurant has been in my list like forever. I nak sangat makan sini sebab review mostly kata sedap. Sebagai pencinta sup mestilah I wonder kesedapan dia cane. Hehe. But I always delay it sebab I thought kedai ni dekat tangkak (according to the name :p). Tah cane I tergerak hari nak google alamat kedai ni last week (sebab kalau dekat tangkak I nak ajak husband I lajak tangkak dulu hahahahahaha halu husband!), and surprisingly kedai ni dkt MELAKA. Omg, kenapa I baru terfikir nak google alamat ni????? Tersengih happy I sebab like finally I can try their food after yearsss this restaurant dalam my list to JJCM.

Ada few menus you can choose from whether nak fried noodles/kueytiaw/rice or mee/kueytiaw/bihun soup. Ada dua size which is medium dengan large. Beza RM2 which I notice on the last day I makan hahaha. So better order large sebab can share 😊

MY HONEST REVIEW: MASHA ALLAH SEDAP GILAAAAA, tambah lagi makan masa panas panas sup tu. Add their ginger chilies yang super pedas tu buat jadi lagi extra sedap! We ordered both beef ball and mixed beef noodles memang sedap. You guys should give it a try! Price wise is a bit pricey, sebab one regular bowl cost u rm10.50/rm9.50. But definitely worth every penny gittew hehe. Di sebabkan I dah jatuh cinta with the noodles, esoknya we ate lunch here jugak before balik. Siap tapau ok. Haha. But definitely makan dekat kedai sedap lagi. Dah tapau tak kick sangat rasa dia.

Even icha pun suka their soup. Siap hirup oki?!! hahaha. So you guys wajib try juga!

SOYA BUKIT CINA

After makan berat, its dessert time hehe. I cakap dekat husband jum makan tau fu fa and minum air soya dekat bukit cina. I purposely nak pergi stall tepi jalan not the other one. This stall is famous with their ginger (halia) menu. Tau fu fa with ginger and soya with ginger. Tapi sebab I bukanlah pencinta halia, I opt for the original flavor jelah haha. Kang tak pasal takleh nak telan since I read some review kata if we add ginger rasa dia manis pedas. Can u imagine? I can’t and I taknak buat eksperimen tu 😅

Since it was raining cat and dog on that day, we drive thru je tepi stall diorang. Bukak tingkap and order. But if u go on weekend memang tak dapat lah ya, sebab for sure jammed with loads of car dekat bahu jalan. 

By the way.. You can choose the tau fu fah and soya size. Nak sejuk or panas pun boleh inform them. I pilih dua dua small one. The price is RM 2.50 each.

MY HONEST REVIEW: Okay lah 👍 nak kata sedap gila tu takdelah ya. As i say above,  i prefer air gula tau fu fa to be lebih manis sebab i pencinta benda manis haha. but ni pun dah okay dah. As for the price, its above normal one. But since it is located dekat tourist attraction, the price boleh di terima. Tapi if you peminat ginger, maybe you can try their special menu. You might like it! kan?
